CARE International in Uganda Annual Report FY2026

Overview

FY26 was the year a looming financial contraction arrived. Total revenue fell to USD 13.83 million from USD 17.12 million, and grants and donations fell 27 percent as the aid financing shock that began in FY25 worked its way through our pipeline.

Despite this, CARE International in Uganda protected what mattered most. Spending through partner organisations held almost flat at USD 6.72 million, and resources flowing through local and national organisations rose from 41 percent to 49 percent of total spend, across 58 Ugandan partner organisations.

During the year, CARE reached 1,621,602 crisis-affected people, including 900,052 women and girls and 721,550 men and boys, through programmes focused on safeguarding, Gender Equality, and Service Continuity.
